CAREL - Temperature Sensor
CAREL offers increasingly advanced and complete global solutions.
For this reason, CAREL has designed an entire range of probes that respond to the needs of HVAC/R installers and manufacturers, as well as for the control of CAREL's own line of humidifiers. The range has been enriched with the most innovative technological solutions, offering new international standards at increasingly competitive prices.
Type : NTC, PT100, PT1000, PTC
CAREL - Temperature / Humidity and Air Quality Sensors
CAREL probes, as well as featuring the recognised performance that sets them apart, are very versatile and can satisfy various market requirements. Indeed, all the probes have been especially designed to be compatible not only with all CAREL controllers, but also with the most commonly used standards around the world.
CAREL - Wireless Sensors
The rTM system is available with new product codes, as the improvements introduced regarding the ZigBee wireless communication protocol mean it is not compatible with the previous series.
The CAREL rTM system consists of the following components:
Battery powered sensors:
- two versions for two specific needs:
Temperature sensor fitted inside the showcase, version SE BP (Built-in Probe);
Sensor with two external NTC probe and two digital inputs, version SE EP (External Probe) for showcases and cold rooms;
- sensor powered at 12 to 24 Vac;
Sensor with two external NTC probe and two digital inputs, version EP1/Router SE (External Probe) for showcases and cold rooms. This device also integrates the Router function;
Access Point. Wireless receiver that acquires data from the various sensors in the ZigBee™ network, making such data available to the supervisor via Modbus® RTU. Up to 30 sensors can be directly associated with each Access Point, or a maximum of 60 if one or more Routers are used. The supervisor (PlantVisorPRO or PlantWatchPRO) can thus see all the variables in the rTM SE system;
Router. To be used when the distance between the sensors and the Router exceeds 30 m, or if there are more than 30 sensors in the network. There can be a maximum of 60 Routers in the wireless network, 48 of which are visible to the supervisor. The Access Point automatically assigns a serial address in the order in which these are "associated", starting from 200 up to 247;
CAREL - Pressure Transducer Sensors
The pressure transducers, as well as being available in a ratiometric version, now offer improved performance in terms of precision, better support for over pressure, extended operating temperature range and resistance to vibrations.
CAREL - Refrigerant Gas Leakage Detectors
The refrigerant gas leak sensor is a device that signals leakages of common gases. It can be used in stand-alone applications, or integrated into Carel controllers or third party devices. Connection to Carel controllers is made using an analogue or digital output or Modbus® RS485 serial connection. When leaks are detected exceeding a certain concentration, the sensor sends an alarm signal to the controller, activating a local audible and visual warning and a relay (SPDT). This allows prompt identifi cation of gas leaks, avoiding having to shut the unit down and at the same time guaranteeing the safety of any people in the vicinity. Available in versions with a semiconductor or infrared detector.
CAREL - Water Leakage Detectors
The new flood detecting device is able to sense the presence of water in an environment. It is generally used to protect against flooding in computer rooms, offices, laboratories, special environments. It is made up of a detector (normally fitted on the electrical panel) and a sensor (installed in the position being checked). When the sensor is wet by the water, the alarm is automatically activated on the detector, switching the status of the relay.
CAREL - Light and Motion Detectors
Sensors for measuring ambient light and occupancy, to be used in combination with CAREL or third-party electronic controllers. These sensors contribute to ensuring intelligent management of electrical loads, rationalising power consumption and consequently saving energy.
The combined light and presence detection sensor DPWA series for indoor and outdoor installation are instrument that detects motions and light intensity as well as the presence of persons and is used to recognize environment conditions.
The output signal is 4...20 mA for light intensity and has a switching (changeover contact SPDT) output for the detection of motions. Those combined sensors are installed, where is necessary use a device for the observation and recognition of conditions and for a motion dependent control of room functions, e.g. as motion detector to lower temperatures in unused rooms.
CAREL - Smoke and Fire Detectors
The smoke and fire detectors are electronic devices that measure sudden and dangerous rises in temperature or increases in the presence of smoke. Their unique feature is the auto-calibration function, which guarantees the activation of the device over time, while adapting to different environmental conditions without losing sensitivity.
